Agilityflow Courses #11: Something to train on the winter break

In these courses there are some fun discriminations: does your dog know whether to turn right or left? Or to take the jump from your side or backside? Verbal cues can help your dog with these questions, but this week I wanted to focus on my handling cues with Vola. Therefore I designed these two small space exercises. All you need is a tunnel and four jumps!

In this video, we are showing you the courses with Vola. The first course is maybe a bit more simple and the second one is more advanced. I am sorry that the video is so grainy: there isn’t much sunlight here in Finland at the moment but we are moving towards the spring!

Agilityflow Courses #10: Variation between tight turning and running straight

Hello all! Today we are showing you two fun small space drills with Vola. In these two drills there is a nice variation between tight turning and running straight and because they only include 5 jumps, a tunnel and an A-frame, they are super easy to build and to connect with another courses.

Agilityflow Courses #8: Spring Serpentines

.

Finally the spring is here! I am so excited! I also have some good news: if everything goes as planned, Vola can start to train agility soon! His leg has recovered very nicely and now we are just building some muscles :)

In this video, we are showing you two small space courses with little Venla. Nothing too technical, but a great opportunity to challenge your dog and yourself! With these courses, you can enjoy some serpentines and focus on your front crosses. Hope you are going to have fun with these!

Agilityflow Courses #7: Send, Leave, Run and Enjoy

Agilityflow Courses #5: Everything happens so fast

.

I am sorry that You had to wait this video for this long! I had an annoying flu for a couple weeks   and running this course was not easy! We actually had to film these courses twice, because in the first time, I just couldn’t run and think at the same time (or run and breathe :D )! However, videos from that first session would have been great behind the scenes -material! This video is named after the feeling I got when running these courses: everything happens so fast! There is nothing especially hard in these courses, but the full speed really makes the challenge!

Agilityflow Courses #4: Movement direction

.

With this weeks course you can really enjoy running with your dog! Even though the course is pretty straightforward, you still may want to pay attention to your running lines. Your movement direction is the most efficient handling tool you have: Your dog will run in the same direction you are running. So choose your steps wisely! And the most important thing… remember to have fun!

Agilityflow Courses #3: Which line is faster?

.

I have been asked to do a video, where I am handling the same course in different ways. So here it is! You can handle this course in multiple ways, but try to think, which lines would be fastest for you and your dog. In last week’s video we listed things you should pay attention to when you are choosing handling techniques, so you may want to watch it first.

.

We tried two different handling styles with Vola and compared them to see which lines were fastest. I have to say, that the result surprised me!

Agilityflow Courses #2: Challenge your blind crosses

.

These courses can be handled in many ways, but if you want, you can really challenge your blind crosses! With these courses, you can run full speed and just enjoy working with your dog. We trained these courses with Venla and we had so much fun! Venla has been in a short summer break from agility, and this was her second time training after the break. I have to say, that I just love running with her, it is agilityflow at it’s best!
